Yaad brings over 25 years of hands-on experience in the construction industry, always with a focus on doing things the right way. Having worked in many of the trades himself, he knows exactly what to look for when it comes to quality, attention to detail, and ensuring every project runs smoothly. His deep understanding of the building process allows him to guide clients confidently, from that first meeting all the way to handing over the keys.

When he’s not overseeing a build, Yaad can often be found outdoors — kiteboarding with his son Josh, snowboarding in the mountains, boating with family, or enjoying beach days with his daughter Emily. His easygoing and friendly personality makes him someone people love to work with, and he believes building homes should always be a collaborative and enjoyable experience.

Simply Laneways started with us — Karli and Yaad — and a shared passion for building. Both of us grew up in families where construction and design weren’t just jobs, they were part of everyday life. We spent our younger years watching, learning, and eventually working alongside our families, gaining a deep understanding of how to create spaces that truly feel like home.
